Formulated with some alternative proteins to reduce costs when transitioning calves to a more economical milk replacer when their digestive system is better able to digest more complex ingredients.

D-M 21-16 is a milk replacer formulated for the calf producer who wants to reduce cost by transitioning calves to a more economical milk replacer starting when calves are three weeks of age or for an individual who has an occasional orphan calf to feed. Cost is reduced by replacing a portion of the milk protein with protein from soy flour. D-M 21-16 contains more fiber than an all-milk product and has less energy from fat; however, D-M 21-16 is fortified with the minerals and vitamins needed by growing calves. Feeding D-M 21-16 milk replacer at the recommended feeding rates provides the protein, energy and other nutrients older calves need at an economical cost.
